Branch Celebrates 40th Anniversary!
The
branch celebrated its 40th anniversary at a picnic June 11, 2009 at the
home of branch member Carol Van Evera.

Gail Osberg, AAUW member for ____ years was recognized
at a Fairfax County Library Board of Trustees meeting and awarded a
certificate for donating 1000 hours of her time as a volunteer at the
Reston Regional Library. Gail is a former librarian in Fairfax
County. She has been working on indexing all of the issues of the
Reston Times which are on microfilm. |

Linda
Martin, seated at right, was honored as Virginia AAUW Educator of the
Year at the state
convention April 11-13, 2008 in Roanoke, VA. Linda is coordinator of
the GEMS conference and gifted and talented
specialist at Dogwood School
and was nominated for the award by the Reston-Herndon Branch. Shown
with Linda, seated at left, is branch president Carol Hurlburt. Standing
are branch members Suzanne Cook, Carol Van Evera, Marilyn Silvey, Nancy
Thompson and Mary Zane
