GARY S. WARD, died in Virginia Beach, VA on Mar. 27, 2007.  Gary was born on Dec. 5, 1938 in Lake View, NY and was the son of the late Robert and Carolyn Spittler Ward and the grandson of the late George and Edith Metz Spittler of Lake View, NY and the late Charles and Amanda Lyon Ward of Booneville, NY.  He is survived by a brother Charles Ward (who has since passed); sisters L. Schucker and S. Merk; and two daughters, both of California.  Gary attended Lake View School, Woodlawn HS and Frontier Central HS, graduating from the latter in 1956.  He also briefly attended the Art Institute of Chicago. He lived for most of his adult life in California, had a career as a graphic artist in the printing industry and was also a successful freelance photographer.  A memorial was held at Evergreen Cemetery, Eden, NY to inter Gary's ashes in a vault at the foot of his mother's grave.  Memorials may be made to the National MS Foundation www.nationalmssociety.org/.
